I have considered going Organic a few times. If I were mainly an internet or wholesale seller it would be of great value. In my situation, where I get to see virtually every customer, I believe the “Know Your Farmer” card is a lot more important.
We do not use any chemicals and we do not feel that it is necessary to jump through the many hoops in order to obtain a certificate as we feel it would take time away from creating a superior Organic product. Thusly, we do not have organic certification but we can assure you our product is as natural as it comes. We eat the same: Iodine, Apple Cider Vinegar, Baking Soda, Salt, Detoxifying clay and Diatomaceous Earth we feed the animals. I guess you could say we put our mouths where the money is!
And the original goes something like this…
To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether ’tis Nobler in the mind to suffer
The Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune,
Or to take Arms against a Sea of troubles,
Ted Talks have recently been co-opted by Monsanto
For me, the goal is to get more dung beetles in the pasture, because they were Earth’s first organic gardeners!
